Bon dia,

Actualment tinc un servidor Linkat 3 Beta 2 en producció que voldria passar a Linkat 3 Definitiu. Hi ha un procediment establert? Es recomanable fer l'actualizació o no cal?

Hola,

Fes una copia de seguretat, afegeix els repositoris de Linkat 3 i fes:
zypper refresh
zypper update

No hauria d'haver cap problema en fer l'actualització.

Al fer un zypper up nomes em sortia una actualització, el glibc-devel. Al fer un zypper dup ja m'han sortit mes actualitzacions, desconec el numero d'actualitzacions, que eren un fotimer, però en total eren 693,8MB.

Ara esta fent l'actualització, quan acabi us dic el resultat.

Doncs en principi s'actualitzat bé però... he tornat a fer un zypper dup nomes per curiositat (després de completar de completar el primer) i...

Es possible que em torni a demanar mes o menys el mateix? Ho faig? No cal?
Em preocupa el tema de la seguretat i possibles bugs que puguin tenir versions antigues d'alguns paquets i en un principi jo ho faria (no crec o almenys espero que si ho faig no peti res) però espero la resposta dels gurus.

El que em te mosca es que el que vol fer es reinstal·lar la majoria de paquets (to be reinstalled) i fer una baixada de versió de nomes un paquet, curiosament, el Wine. Entenc que si fos una actualització posaria "to be upgraded" o alguna cosa similar.

Per que fas un zypper dup??! Això és per realitzar un "upgrade" i tú el que has de fer és un "update".

Cal fer un "zypper update".

Amb el "up" nomes em proposava una actualització: glibc-devel, o sigui, no actualitzava el nucli. Amb el primer "dup" si ha actualitzat la versió del nucli (a la 29) però el tornar a fer el "dup" per si quedava alguna cosa pendent m'ha tornat a proposar un 600MB llargs d'actualitzacions. Al fer un "up" després del "dup" no proposava cap actualització.

El que he fet ha sigut el següent:

- Servidor Linkat 3 Beta 2
1- Canviar repositoris
2- zypper ref
3- zypper up. Proposa nomes una actualització: glibc-devel
4- zypper dup. Proposa 600MB llargs d'actualitzacions. Instal·lo actualitzacions.
5- Reinicio
6- Comprobo versió del nucli. Surt la 29, en teoría, la versió del nucli de la versió definitiva de la Linkat 3.
7- zypper up. No proposa res.
8- zypper dup. Proposa 600MB llargs d'¿actualitzacions?

Aquí m'he quedat. Entenc i crec que el servidor Linkat 3 ha quedat actualitzat a la darrera versió.

Hola,

La darrera versió de kernel que hi ha és 2.6.27.29-0.1

No s'ha de fer "zypper dup", per que no es necessita fer un upgrade, l'únic que t'està fent és reinstal·lar 600 Mb de paquets, però NO actualitza, està reinstal·lant!

Amb "zypper update" s'actualitza i si no hi ha més paquets, vol dir que no hi han més actualitzacions.

Dintre de poc hi haurà una altra actualització de kernel i només caldrà fer "zypper update" per actualitzar. Una vegada feta l'actualització cal reiniciar l'equip per que carregui el nou kernel.
